Visiting us
There are different ways to visit us.
- Book an Experience: You can either book an experience; a vineyard tour with tasting or a guided wine tasting. Dates for these can be found on our Experience page.
- Drop in for wine: Or you can drop in to drink our wines by the glass, bottle or a wine flight – sit and relax and pay for what you order. If you fancy something to eat there are grazing boards with regional cheeses and charcuterie. There is no need to book for this, you can drop in.
When can we visit?
Our opening times are – Thursdays 11 am – 4 pm and 11 am – 5 pm Fridays and Saturdays. Until 30 December 2023. We then reopen for Easter. Private tours and tastings for large groups may still be possible between January and Easter.
Do you take table bookings?
Yes we can reserve tables inside and will hold them for 30 minutes after your reservation time. Please call us or email to book. Tables outside are unreserved
Can we bring dogs?
Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome inside the barn, at outside tables and can also join tours.
What can we do at the barn?
You are welcome to sit and enjoy our wines and grazing boards, wander through our newly planted vineyard and chat to our wine barn team about growing and creating our wines. We also have a Cellar Door Shop area to drop by and pick up wine to take home.
When is the Cellar Door Shop open?
Whenever the barn is open. Thursdays 11 am – 4 pm and 11 am – 5 pm Fridays and Saturdays. Until 30 December 2023.
Is there parking?
There is lots of single level parking in front of the barn.
What happens on a vineyard tour?
Hosted by one of our expert team, tours last about 1.5 to 2 hours. Starting at the Tasting Barn, Hinton Ampner SO24 0JY.
Please wear comfy shoes and bring appropriate clothing depending on the weather. Hats, sunglasses and waterproofs are all great on the right day.
Starting at the barn we walk through the vineyard to understand our growing cycle and caring for the vines. Then taste two cuvees in the comfort of the barn. You are welcome to stay after the tour and purchase your favourite wines to drink in.
What happens on a guided tasting?
Can I just arrive to buy wine?
Yes, our cellar door shop is located in the Tasting Barn and you can buy any time that the barn is open
Getting to the Barn
By road you can see the barn from the A272. We are on the right as you leave Bramdean before you reach Hinton Ampner House. Coming from the Winchester or Alresford Direction we are situated on left after you pass Hinton Ampner House.

Bus travel
There is a bus stop at the end of our drive (Hinton Ampner Hill) for route Number 67 from Winchester to Petersfield via Alresford, Bramdean and the Meons .
